Here at Edinburgh and Lothian Counselling Services I offer private counselling sessions to both individuals and couples who need a safe, supportive and confidential space to explore where they are at in life and discover a new way forward that meets their needs.

It is important that you find a counsellor that makes you feel comfortable, supported and heard.

Our first meeting is where we can meet and understand what your needs and issues are that you would like to work on.  You can also reflect on our session and see if you feel comfortable working together with me.

In this line of work it helps that I’m a warm and empathetic person but by meeting me you don’t have to take my word for it!  This enables you to have an opportunity to ensure you feel comfortable before going forward and beginning our journey together to change and improve your life.

You can choose to have a weekly or fortnightly counselling session to best suit your personal schedule; they  are 50 minutes long and are priced as follows –

  • Online counselling – for an individual – £55
  • Online counselling – for a couple – £70
  • Face to face counselling – for an individual – £55
  • Face to face counselling – for a couple – £70
  • Evening session (post 5pm) – for an individual £95
  • Evening session (post 5pm) – for a couple £110

What is your cancellation policy?

As a self-employed therapist, having a busy appointment diary is vital.  If you book an appointment but cancel at the last minute, I’m not always able to fill the appointment with another client and so would lose the income.

Therefore, should you need to cancel a booked appointment, please give a minimum of 48 hours notice.  You can cancel by calling 0131 510 1396 (leaving a voicemail if I’m with clients) or emailing tess@elcs.life

If you unfortunately need to cancel a session at short notice, perhaps because it clashes with other plans that you have since made, please note that I will use your payment made in advance to cover the cost of the missed appointment.  Where payment was not made in advance, I would still politely ask that you cover the cost of the missed appointment.

Please note, emergencies are unforeseen events and you would not lose your payment in the event of one of those.
